Affiliate commissions
When you click an "Apply Now" or "Get Quote" button on our site and successfully sign up with the bank or provider, we receive a referral commission. This is our primary revenue source.
Crucially: The commission you trigger never increases the price you pay. You get the exact same card, loan, or insurance plan at the exact same rate — whether you reach the bank through us or directly.
How this affects our listings
- Sort order is product-driven, not commission-driven.When you sort by lowest rate or highest rewards, that's exactly what you get — the actual best product for that filter.
- Some products are marked "Featured" or "Editor's Pick." These can be either editorially chosen by our team or paid placements. We always label paid placements clearly with an advertiser disclosure.
- Banks that don't pay us are still listed. If a product is among the best in its category, we include it whether or not we earn a commission on it. Our credibility is worth more than any single deal.
Other revenue sources
- Display advertising — We show contextual Google AdSense ads on some pages. These are visually separated from our content and never influence rankings.
- Sponsored content — Occasionally banks pay for a dedicated guide or branded comparison. These are always labeled "Sponsored" at the top.
- Newsletter sponsorships — A line in our weekly email may be sponsored. Marked clearly.
What we will never do
- Change a product's ranking based on commission size
- Hide a great product because we don't earn from it
- Sell, share, or pass your personal data without your explicit consent
- Display a fake or inflated rating in exchange for payment
- Recommend you a product that's wrong for your situation just because it pays us more
Editorial independence
Our editorial team — the people who decide which products to recommend, write our guides, and verify the data — operates independently from our commercial partnerships. Banks have no input on our reviews, sort order, or guide content. If a partner pulls their commission program, the products stay listed.
