How we source data, score products, and keep the rankings free of commercial pressure. Last updated May 2026.
For every product on UAEMoneyWise, we record:
We don't scrape rates from forums or third-party comparison sites. Where we infer something (rare), it's flagged on the product as Estimated with a clear date.
Every product is reviewed by a human editor against the bank's official source. The product detail page shows:
Default sort on /cardsis "recommended" — a blended score using:
All other sort options (lowest fee, highest rating, best for a category) are deterministic and only reorder the same set of cards based on data — no editorial weighting applied to those views.
The Card Recommender ranks by year-1 net AED value: annual_rewards + welcome_bonus − first_year_fee. For miles and points cards, rewards are normalised to AED using the published point value (e.g. 1 mile ≈ AED 0.04). The conversion rate is editor-set per card.

We earn referral commissions when readers apply for products through our affiliate links. Banks cannot pay to be listed, ranked higher, or be flagged as "featured".The editorial team that decides ratings and featured picks is structurally separate from the team that signs commercial agreements.
When we have a commercial relationship with a specific product, the "Apply" button uses an affiliate link. You always see this on the product detail page's footer (advertiser disclosure) and in the global footer trust row. See How we make money for the full breakdown.
We take data accuracy seriously. If you spot a discrepancy, tell us — we'll cross-check and update within 48 hours.
